GAME RESCHEDULING RULES
Games played in Belmont can only be rescheduled only if it meets one of the following criteria. This means that when an opposing coach calls to ask if you can reschedule a game scheduled to be played in Belmont the answer is NO unless it meets the following:
1. The fields in Belmont are declared unplayable by either the BSA or the referee at game time.
- In the event that games are cancelled due to weather you must give the referee scheduler and field coordinator at least one full week to schedule a referee. Determine the desired makeup date with the opposing coach the same day that the rainout occurred and send an email to the field scheduler immediately.
- Once the field is assigned you can confirm the game with the opposing coach.
2. Games are initially scheduled on a BSA sanctioned "prepone" day. These are Religious Holidays (day only), Columbus Day Weekend and Memorial Day Weekend. To reschedule a "prepone" weekend game you must contact the referee scheduler and the field coordinator at least two weeks prior to the original game date and play the game no later than two weeks after the original game date. If you contact the referee scheduler less than two weeks in advance they will not provide a referee. Pleases note additional rescheduling requirements in for BAYS Games (Bays Bylaws, Section 9)
You must contact your age group coordinator and let them know when any rescheduled game will be played.
How to reschedule a rain-out for Travel games:
1 – Click here to see the makeup game schedule. It will be kept up-to-date with any scheduled makeup games.
2 – Figure out when you and the opposing team can play.
3 – Email the field scheduler with the date/time you want to play the game.
4 – The field scheduler will email back confirming the game and the field scheduler will have a referee scheduled.
