The Belmont Soccer
Association game schedule is your team's actual schedule for your home
game/fields. It will be posted at
www.belmontsoccer.com after the coach's meeting.
The online BAYS schedule (www.bays.org) is
a guide. Once you find the teams you'll be playing, please contact the
opposing coaches and confirm your away schedule.
Please also confirm with them your Belmont home schedule. This includes both
the TIME and FIELD assignment as it may differ from what is posted on the
BAYS website.
Most games will be at the time that is posted on the BAYS site but due to
our large number of teams and small number of fields, there are some "time
and field conflicts". Both schedules are reviewed for conflicts. When
conflicts occur the BSA has to schedule some games earlier or later in the
day, therefore your game time will not match what's posted online with BAYS.
I do not log-on to the BAYS site and change all the game times in advance -
(if I did this it would automatically generate multiple emails to you all in
the first week) I make all the changes accordingly when I assign the
referees. This also gives you a confirmation of referee assignment and game
time.
We cannot change games each week for teams who feel they are playing earlier
and would like a later slot, or vice versa. For example: if we made a change
we would involve 4 teams, 2 towns, 4 coaches plus assistants, 15+ players
per team, not to mention parents/drivers with everyone agreeing, and
referee's who can make the changes etc.
If we could make this happen we'd be in DC with a means to accomplish the
Health Plan Issue...how cool would that be?
The schedule is what it is, there are only 5 games at home.
Throughout the season BAYS contacts me to have their own members come and
review referees for their further certification requirements, etc, this is
one of the many reasons why BAYS has a "general" time slot for each
division/gender.
