Weather Related Field Closings

BSA will post field closing no later than 7:00am on game days.  Please refer to the BSA Home Page for updates.  Please understand that fields are closed due to local conditions.  Some fields may have to be closed because of standing water (puddles) while other may be clear and are ready for play. 

Also keep in mind that the conditions in other towns may be quite different than the conditions in Belmont.  Travel teams with away games should check the "host" team's website or contact the opposing team's coach.  There are times when other towns will play while some (all of) Belmont fields are closed.

Field closings will be posted on the home page. 

Once a game starts and field/weather conditions change (the field is unplayable, or if there are unsafe conditions such as lightning) the referee has the responsibility and authority to postpone a game.
